New Modus Alert! Thieves board planes and Steals while you Sleep.
In a recent arab news article, crew of Saudi Airlines thwarted schemes of an International Gang of thieves who victimized unsuspecting passengers while on board the plane. The report says that Saudi Airlines crew had thwarted the attemp of this gang 3 times last October.
The Scheme is that while pasengers are fast asleep and resting during the flight a group of men position themseleves spread out waits for an opportunity to steal valuables or money from unsuspecting victims.
When you are fast asleep or you go for toilet they will open the cabin storage and will steal from your luggage.
The groups was caught when Saudia crew noticed a passenger who frequents the toilet and transfers sits was caught stealing from a sudanese guy during their flight from Jeddah to Dubai.
Following reports passengers are advised to be vigilant and secure valuables during any flights. The use of locked and secured luggage or keeping cash in front pockets of jeans and other precautions must be considered.
