A 911 Call for Help Activated Rescue of Sinking RoRo by Phil Coast Guard!
26 December 2016 11am, as typhoon Nina made several land fall in the southern part of Luzon a 911 call was recieved from a RORO vessel "MV Shuttle Roro 5". The vessel was reported drifting and taking in water and on the verge of sinking off the coast of Mabini Batangas after being battered by waves due to the Typhoon Nina.
The distressed call was immediately relayed to Philippine Coast Guard Operations Center and have rushed to execute a search and rescue operations. Rescue operation is still on going.

911 Hotline was launched earlier which was pattered for the 911 emergency service of Davao which helps coordinate rescue and public service efforts easier and tangible for all citizens.
