In a recent press conference, PNP Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa sternly warned the Philippine National Police not to use the War on Drugs to extort money from anyone he may be a druglord or a drug pusher. This comes in light as a report came from his own personnal cellphone of extortion activities of some retired PNP officer and some Makati Police. Allegedly a Singaporian has given 750,000 pesos to a retired cop, but all these still needs to be verified.
PNP Chief issued a public plea and a strong warning in his words:
"I would like to appeal to the public, just in case, may mga pulis dyan na ginagamit ang War on Drugs sa pangongotong, Please tell us right away at Bibitayin ko ng patiwarik ang mga pulis na yan. Pakisabi lang saamin po. Kahit kayo ay drug lord o kahit kayo ay pusher kapag kinotongan kayo ng mga pulis ay may tama saakin ang mga pulis na yan. At pag ang report naman ninyo ay hindi totoo dahil lang gusto nyong resbakan ang pulis kayong mga druglord at mga pusher na nagreport may tama din kayo sakin. Sana magtulungan tayo para mahinto na tong corruption sa ating kapulisan"
-PNP Chief Dela Rosa

'I would like to appeal to the public, just in case, there are police there that are using the war on drugs in extortions, please tell us right away and I will hang those policemen upside down! Please tell us, you druglords or drug pushers if policemen extort money from you those police officers you'll have your hit from me and if your report is false and just intended to get back at the policemen those druglords and pushers that reported falsely you too will get it. Hope we help each other in order to stop this corruption in our police ranks.'
-PNP Chief Delarosa
