President Duterte's diplomatic strategy is bearing fruit especially for the poor fisher folks of Iba Zambales who had long been deprived of rich fishing grounds resulting from deteriorating diplomatic ties from previous administration.
In a FB post of Rafael Alunan III, a stout supporter of the President, he wrote:
"The smiles say it all. I'm glad to see our artisanal fishermen back in Bajo de Masinloc without any interference, and coming home with all the fish they can get on their boats. Is this a temporary or permanent situation? Lord only knows, but smart diplomacy will be of great help."
Indeed diplomacy and dialogue has bear better fruits than confrontation and conflicts. To the poor citizens of Zambales to return to their livelihood is the only thing that matters. To provide their families basic needs is fulfillment.
