DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO UPGRADE AIRPORT FACILITIES IN THE NEXT 100 DAYS OF PRESIDENT DUTERTE!
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade said that the Filipino people as well as travelers from around the globe can expect an airport that is;
>Fully CCTV-ized
> Communication-friendly
> Where the toilet no longer stinks!
> Air-condition working well
> and No arrest order for Passengers found with bullets in luggage.
A MoU or Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Department of transportation and Local Airlines mainly PAL and CebuPac where responsibility of keeping the Toilets Clean and fresh no longer belongs to MIAA but now will be shouldered by the Local Airlines.
This in effect the comfort and cleanliness of the Toilets and washrooms will reflect the Local Airlines Customer Service. PAL President Jaime Bautista and CebuPac President Lance Gokungwei are positive that the move will benefit the comfort of passengers.
Free Wifi connection upto 1GB on all airports in the country starting AUGUST 2016 is being eyed by the transport secretary as part of his effort for President Duterte 1st 100 days in office.
While passing some maintenance responsibility to local airlines in order for the government to focus on security measures travellers may soon expect fully CCTV-ized airports in the Philippines.
NAIA scorned for its age old facilities and faulty Air conditioning system is going to be upgraded.
But most of all for a comfortable and safer travel the implementation of the No arrest policy for passengers found with bullets in the airport in order to end the "TANIM BALA" Scheme has been welcomed by all tarvellers and OFW since its announcements.
